Burns Night Celebrations
Hire the Simply Whisky team to fire up your Burns Night this year. Our celebrations are for private groups and corporate clients and can take place online, in your own venue or one of ours. As masters of ceremony we have experience hosting groups of up to 1100 people.
“But oil'd by thee, The wheels o' life gae down-hill, scrievin, Wi' rattlin glee.”
We mix the traditional with the contemporary to provide a modern day appreciation of Scotland’s bard, Robert Burns, through passionate and lively readings of his poems which celebrate his life and work. Our memorable address to the haggis and our unique Burns-aoke and Burns Idol games get people involved, ensuring an unforgettable evening for all.
The fun doesn’t end there. Enjoy Scottish ceilidh dancing with a live band and bagpiper, and choose to incorporate a memorable whisky tasting experience.
We can also provide branded and personalised advertising materials for your event and special whisky glasses which can be engraved with your logo or message.
We have experience hosting a variety of Burns Night events in diverse settings, including online:
NB. Sample poem at 8:43 and Address To A Haggis at 12:28
Some kind words from our past clients:
- "Simon and Franchi know how to put on a great show. They know how to pitch and pace the proceedings perfectly. They know how to create a sense of gleeful drama. They know how to perform with passion. In short, they know their Burns—and they do him proud. Slainté!" Felicity Johnson, Director Front Page Design
- "Dramatic, enthralling, entertaining, captivating; just some of the words I’d use to describe Simply Whisky and their totally authentic yet quirky delivery of Burns’ Night at London Bridge. We had a truly successful evening and all of our guests were treated to a tremendous experience from start to finish, deftly and expertly guided through long standing traditions by the boundless enthusiasm of Simon and Franchi. My thanks to them for helping us to create what I hope to be the first of many Burns’ Nights at London Bridge and beware, I’ve already penciled them in for next year!" Marjory Brown, Head of Events
- "Our Burns Night was fantastic! Thank you once again!" Sonia Buffon, Events Manager
