We used Simply Whisky to provide a whisky tasting theme for an informal business networking event organised for UK and Chinese business members of the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC). Over 150 guests from business and government attended and were treated throughout the evening to expert knowledge and rousing anecdotes from Simply Whisky’s qualified connoisseurs.
As knowledgeable as they were entertaining, Simon and Franchi helped create a fantastic atmosphere that added a unique and memorable dimension to the event. Guests, regardless of their own whisky knowledge, found them highly amusing and easily accessible. I would strongly recommend anyone wanting to add an alternative and charismatic theme to any event to try out the boys at Simply Whisky!
The guys from Simply Whisky certainly caused a stir at our stand and there was a severe case of other exhibitors being envious of the crowd we were attracting. Both Simon and Franchi were great at attracting the crowds, having fun and giving our customers a really great memorable experience- Thanks!
Simon and Franchi really made our client evening a huge success. Their knowledge is exceptional, and their enthusiasm infectious. Our guests warmed to them immediately and thoroughly enjoyed themselves as a result – even the ones who professed to be non-whisky drinkers! A great blend of education and entertainment. Simply Whisky presented a tasting session at our stand at a conference and exhibition in Glasgow. Simon and Franchi were fab and thoroughly entertained the crowd around our stand for an hour about the joys of whisky and how it can complement cheese and chocolate. Simply Whisky were the talk of the whole conference and a complete hit – causing other exhibitors to be green with envy! We had declamations of Burns, teleportation to the Isle of Islay and of course brilliant facts about whisky, it’s production and character. Not to be missed!!
Simon and Franchi were fantastic, filling the room with all the drums and drama you could want from a tour through the world of whisky. They easily dispelled the notion of whisky as an old man’s drink with a rock ‘n roll sensibility that bordered on punk at times, and incited a religious fervour in the room with their enthusiasm and knowledge. These boys are dangerous (in a good way).
Simon and Franchi rip up the rulebook with a wild-eyed, gleeful anarchic joy, and one can’t help but be swept along. Everything they do is different, even when it’s the same. Simply Whisky events are exciting, it’s that simple.

Simon and Franchi were fantastic at providing the whisky tasting at our Burns Night celebration last night! I have had positive feedback pouring in from clients and hosts alike. Not only do they clearly know their stuff, but they made a huge effort to tailor which whisky to taste to the individual based on their likes/dislikes etc. This was a really nice touch and something that we haven’t had before in previous whisky tastings and put Simon and Franchi a head above the rest! We will certainly be using them again next year! Highly recommended.
A huge thank you to Simon and Franchi of Simply Whisky for supplying us with the much needed celtic contingent at our Burns Night Extravaganza. These two are the walking definition of Scottish hospitality and worked their sporrans off, with a well informed and lively whisky masterclass before compering our Burns Supper. Their Selkirk Grace was wonderful and the Ode to a Haggis passionately and hilariously delivered, while their Burns Factor poetry competition had the audience in rapturous applause. They didn’t take a moment to themselves, constantly checking in and entertaining individual tables when not commanding the floor. They were a sheer delight to work with from start to finish; a rare combination of absolute professionalism, mixed with a generous slug of good humour and a sprinkling of roguery.
