Danger In The Chamber
Royal Institute of British Architects, London, UK
Wed., 21st March 2012

Sam ‘The Doctor’ Simmons of The Balvenie engaged Simon ‘The Reverend’ Roser of Simply Whisky in three rounds of heavyweight dramming as fists and facts were thrown to help guests decide the best tasting drams of the evening.
The Winner
In Round 1 The Balvenie Doublewood snatched victory over the Aberlour 12 Year Old with its assault of almond nuttiness and spicy oak undertones. Round 2 then saw a tie between the very compelling and closely matched Highland Park 18 Year Old vs. The Balvenie Peated Cask 17 Year Old – you have to try this match yourself to believe it! With fervour in the ring rising, Round 3 was claimed by the Japanese with their Suntory Hibiki 17 Year Old harmoniously swiping at the Portwood finish of The Balvenie 21. It was close, but in a final showdown ‘The Doctor’ snatched victory and the Whisky Fight Night battle belt in a combative arm wrestle. This isn’t over!
